The nature of EOD operations involves a high level of physical activity. As such the sizing of any suit is critical in assisting the operator in their task. The system comes in 5 sizes of suit with the three sizes of plate. This allows for the system to be sized to the individual operator as it is possible for the leggings of a medium suit to be supplied with the jacket of a large suit. This means that shorter well built operators are not forced to wear long trousers.
As stated in the individual component descriptions all the elements of the suit that are in contact with the skin or the environment are readily removable and washable in normal washing machines. This greatly improves operator comfort.
